When using your debit card to make a purchase
always choose to process the transaction as a
credit
transaction.
Why?
This eliminates you having to key in your PIN. Instead
you will sign your signature for
the purchase just as if
you had used a credit card. As fraud schemes continue to get more sophisticated, this process will help
protect you from cameras and skimmers obtaining your card number and PIN. You will see no changes in the way the purchases
hit your account or appear on your statement.
